Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller

Advanced Learning Academy ("we," "our," or "the Organization") operates the Quantum IQ cognitive assessment platform at quantumiqtest.com. We serve as the data controller for all personal information gathered through this platform. For questions regarding data handling, contact us at assessments@advancedlearning.academy.

2. Information We Gather

We gather the following categories of personal data when you interact with our platform:

2.1 Assessment Response Data

When you complete the Quantum IQ assessment, we record your individual item responses, response timing data, answer revision patterns, and session metadata. This data is essential for generating your cognitive profile and contributing to ongoing psychometric research.

2.2 Contact and Account Information

To deliver your assessment report, we require your name and email address. You may optionally provide demographic information such as age range, education level, and geographic region for research stratification purposes.

2.3 Payment Information

When purchasing an assessment, payment card details and billing address are transmitted directly to our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not store, access, or retain full card numbers on our servers. We receive only a transaction confirmation, last four digits of the card, and billing postal code.

2.4 Technical and Usage Data

Our servers automatically record IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this data to maintain platform security and optimize the assessment experience.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your personal information for the following purposes:

  • Administering the cognitive assessment and generating your personalized report
  • Delivering your report via email through our transactional email provider, Resend
  • Processing payment transactions through Stripe
  • Conducting psychometric validation research and norming studies using de-identified aggregate data
  • Maintaining platform security, preventing fraud, and ensuring assessment integrity
  • Responding to your inquiries and providing assessment support
  • Complying with applicable legal obligations

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For individuals located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract Performance: Processing assessment responses and delivering reports pursuant to the assessment purchase agreement
  • Legitimate Interest: Platform security, fraud prevention, and psychometric research using de-identified data
  • Consent: Where you voluntarily provide optional demographic information for research participation
  • Legal Obligation: Retention of financial records as required by applicable tax and commercial law

5. Data Retention

Assessment response data and associated cognitive profiles are retained for a period of seven (7) years from the date of assessment completion. This retention period supports longitudinal psychometric research, norming recalibration, and allows participants to request historical reports.

Payment transaction records are retained for seven (7) years in accordance with financial record-keeping requirements.

Technical log data is retained for ninety (90) days and subsequently purged.

You may request early deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to the limitations described in Section 7.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We employ strictly necessary cookies to maintain your assessment session state and prevent duplicate submissions. These cookies do not track you across other websites and expire upon session completion.

We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or third-party analytics platforms that create cross-site behavioral profiles. We do not participate in ad networks or sell data to advertisers.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you hold the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access: Obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to Deletion: Request erasure of your personal data, subject to retention obligations for legitimate research and legal compliance
  • Right to Portability: Receive your assessment data in a portable format and transmit it to another service
  • Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal information in your account
  • Right to Restrict Processing: Limit the ways in which we process your data
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. However, California residents retain the right to submit a do-not-sell request at any time
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not deny service or alter pricing based on your exercise of privacy rights

To exercise any of these rights, send your request to assessments@advancedlearning.academy. We will respond within thirty (30) days.

8. Third-Party Service Providers

We share personal data only with the following categories of service providers, each bound by contractual data protection obligations:

  • Stripe, Inc. — Payment processing. Stripe processes payment card data under its own PCI DSS Level 1 compliance. See Stripe Privacy Policy.
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery for assessment reports and account communications. See Resend Privacy Policy.

We do not share, license, or disclose personal data to any other third parties except as compelled by valid legal process.

9. Data Protection Measures

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal data, including:

  • TLS 1.2+ encryption for all data in transit between your browser and our servers
  • AES-256 encryption for personal data at rest
  • Role-based access controls limiting personnel access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
  • Regular security assessments and vulnerability testing
  • Separation of identifiable personal data from de-identified research datasets

10. International Data Transfers

Our platform infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you access our services from outside the United States, your personal data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. For transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and applicable supplementary measures to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

11. Children's Privacy

The Quantum IQ assessment is designed for individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly solicit or gather personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that personal data has been collected from a minor, we will promptly delete such data.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our data practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date and, where required, notify you via email. Continued use of the platform following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
